Wei weaves his aesthetic of strong, clean and clear lines to bear across his work, and he uses this composition to bring a sense of visual order to even the most chaotic images. His seeks influences from the efficiency, creativity and sleekness of great industrial design, and his academic background of engineering. _ Along with his photographs appearing in magazines such as Conde Nast Traveler, Architectural Digest, GQ, and two of China's top automotive magazines, Wei's works also saw him become the Visual Editor of Conde Nast Traveler China, where he served for six years and with which he continues an association as a photographer. _ This work has seen him develop strong commercial sensibilities and an understanding of aspirational audiences everywhere, and these understandings inform his art. _ Wei has worked with well-known artists, CEOs, actors and influencers, photographed some of the world's most recognizable monuments and landscapes, and shot famedevents and destinations. However his greatest pleasure comes from creating and capturing that unexpected and striking moment in an image, of finding the intimacy and artistry within, regardless of scale. |
